I love watching movies, but I don't really watch the Academy Awards to see who wins best picture. I really watch it for the fashion! The trends you see at the Oscars will carry on for the rest of the year. The above picture is the always beautiful Audrey Hepburn in Givenchy. Audrey picked up an Oscar that year for her role in Roman Holiday. Can you believe how tiny her waist is?!

Here is a preview of one of my favorites this year - Milla Jovovich. I love the old Hollywood look with the hair and red lip. Turns out this is her first time at the Oscars - beginner's luck?

Pack A Poncho

It was rainy here in NYC yesterday and my umbrella was totally flipping out because of the wind (so annoying)! I was thinking that it might be time to invest in a cute rain coat, and I remembered that I saw a really cute spring green rain poncho at Forever 21 - Union Square. I can't seem to find it on their website, but I found on on the Piperlime website (an Olivia Palermo pick). I have a feeling we're going to see rain ponchos all over the place this year. Topshop is one of my favorite British imports. Right now, you can only visit them in NYC or Chicago, but the internet makes their clothes accessible to all. I just discovered the Topshop flippy dress. At only $24, you can afford to buy it in multiple colors. The shape is perfect for any body type. Pair it with a blazer to make it work appropriate.

Mrs. Obama Will Rock Wu

Jason Wu became a household name after he dressed Michelle Obama for the inagural ball. Wu's line for Target totally sold out online, much like the Missoni line, but without all the website crashes. No matter how you feel about President Obama, you have to love Michelle's accessible sense of style.

LA and NYC fashionistas! It's that time of the year... The Barneys warehouse sale! People swear that the best deals of the year are at this sale. I'm going to try to check it out this weekend, and provide an update.

Chambray, Yay!

I've been searching for the perfect Chambray shirt since last year, and I think I've finally found "the one!" Not only does this shirt have great reviews, but it's definitely affordable. I love chambray, because it's comfy and it goes with so many different things. I'm planning to hop on the colored jeans trend and pair my chambray with a cute pair of red jeans. In the summer, I think chambray looks really cute with the J. Crew chino shorts or with white jeans.
