You Need This Tube Dress

I love a dress that has cinching at the waist. It is flattering on most bodies and instantly gives you the appearance of an hourglass shape. I also love the tube dress. It can be casual enough to wear by the pool or dressy enough to wear at night to dinner. In the day I pair it with flip flops. By night a pair it with wedge heels and a long necklace. Imagine my excitement when I found this one for $15 at Urban Outfitters. I'm tempted to get it in multiple colors.

90210 - Annie's Style

How many of you are ashamed to admit you actually like the new 90210? I know I am. I grew up watching the original and I just had to give this one a chance, well for Brenda and Kelly's sake! while watching the episode, I thought Annie looked really cute at school in her floral dress. Check out my Annie inspired finds...

This is a slightly different style and different colors than Annie's, but I like how this one is also paired with a cardigan

Delias Caitlin Dress
$44.50

This one is also a little different style, but it has flowers on a white fabric like Annie's. I think the style of this is really cute and what makes it a super thrifty find? It's on sale! Yay!

Delias Nicolette Dress
Originally $44.50, Now $29.99

OMG is the only way to describe this pick. This dress is marked down to $9.99. You know your dinner last weekend was probably more than $9.99. What's even better is that it's available in all sizes. Snap this one up before it is gone.

Delias Tessa Halter Dress

This dress is also different from Annie's, but it is an amazing steal. The comments on it are very positive, and someone said they found it in the store for $9.99! Even at $19.99 it's still a good value.

Topshop US Site Opens

Anyone who has been to the UK recently must be familiar with Topshop. Topshop is one of the hottest stores there and soon we'll have our very own Topshop here in the states when the location in Manhattan opens in November.

Recently, Kate Moss has made headlines with her Topshop collection. Her line has been so successful that it flies off the shelves. Previously only the UK version of the site was available online, but the US site is now open. Yay! No more paying in pounds! If you simply cannot wait until November and hate online shopping, Barneys also carries Kate Moss' Topshop line.

Come back Monday for my thrifty/trendy Topshop finds!

Say Yes To Mailing Lists And Save $$$

You know the line, you're at the register, paying for your clothes and the salesperson asks you if you would like to sign up for their mailing list. I used to always say no. Sometimes it was because I was in a rush and didn't want to fill out the form, other times because I wanted to avoid junk mail and prevent getting on all sorts of other mailing lists, but finally I've been saying yes.

It takes only a couple minutes and before you know it you start getting coupons, emails, and sometimes free gifts on your birthday. What's not like about that? Lately Express has been sending me tons of coupons, now I never buy anything without a coupon. Macy's also sends tons of coupons and sent some extra ones on my birthday. DSW sent me a coupon on my birthday and Sephora sent me a coupon for a free shower gel. It smells delicious... like vanilla and brown sugar. ;)

Also sign up for point passes. For every dollar you spend or item you buy, you accumulate points which earn you gift certificates. DSW has a great point programs as does American Eagle. American Eagle also gives you a birthday discount. Its valid a few days before and a few days after your birthday. Even better is when you're birthday falls during a time when there is a lot of sales, because it's double the discount! My birthday is labor day weekend, which is typically a time for sales...

Lost your card? Hate carrying all these cards? Don't worry! I hate carrying them too, so instead I just ask the sales associate to look it up. They usually just ask for a phone number or email address and voila you're in.

Here is an overview of the AE All-Access Pass:

Gettin' My Cardigan On

Cardigans are in, in a very long way! I tend to pack on a few extra pounds when the weather gets cold, and the long cardigan will be a great way to hide them. I like how Blake (she's always Serena van der Woodsen to me) paired hers with a dress. I often see it paired with skinny jeans or leggings. If searching online, I often see these referred to as "boyfriend cardigans" although I think those are shorter than Blake's.

Fall Scarves - Stay Stylishly Warm

Scarves are one of the best accessories. Not only do they keep you warm and toasty but they jazz up any blah outfit. You can choose from all sorts of patterns, fabrics, and lengths. One of the best fall trends are skinny scarves. I live down south and our winters are relatively mild and short. The skinny scarf is perfect for me because I can still wear it in the spring.

If you're looking for the scarf above, it is one of our splurges. It is the Juicy Couture Logo Fringe Scarf. You can buy it for $95 from Bloomingdale's, Neiman Marcus, or the Juicy Store.

The plaids trend started popping up last spring and now there's a lot of great plaid scarves to choose from. Just don't pair this with a plaid outfit -- that would be plaid overkill!

Forever 21
Classic Plaid Scarf
$9.80
Also available in blue

Houndstooth popped up on our radar last fall and it's back again. I like the red/navy houndstooth. It's a change from the typical black/white.

Forever 21

Also available in black/white

My first two picks were on the preppy side, but for something a little more fun and punky check out this crinkly scarf.

We Love Colors - Colored Tights Heaven!

Colored tights are so hot this fall. If you're not feeling adventurous, try them in darker colors like navy or plum. If you want to get crazy try bright pinks and blues. My favorite color is a deep blue/purple. It's a little more exciting than navy but not too bright to be distracting.

We Love Colors is like the American Apparel of tights. They have so many different colors, patterns, and styles. They are only $12.50 and they come in a whopping 45 colors!

Half Off Sale Items At French Connection

French Connection is a little pricey for my budget, but how can anyone resist an additional 50% off of sale items? Just enter coupon code SS50. Beware though that limited sizes are available on most items.

It might feel like fall is here, but there are still a few days of summer left. Plus, now is the time to stock up on beach wear since the season is ending. I'm planning to wear this on my trip to Mexico at the end of the year.

Paradise Kaftan
Orignally $98, Now $35

This dress is over 80% off! It's a really flattering shape and this can easily go from summer to fall. In the fall I would pair it with some tights and boots.
